Spring Makeup Picks

I have to be honest, spring isn’t my favourite season. I’m more of an Autumn girl, where coppers and golds dominate the makeup scene. Spring is a very Pink season, and I don’t like Pink, however I do have a few items that I really love to wear at this time of year (some of which are pink). So if you want to know more, keeping reading 🙂

Collection Cream Puff Lip Cream

Will I ever stop talking about this? Probably not. If you have seen my February Favourites, you’ll know that this stuff is my holy grail of lip products. I can honestly say I wear this at least 3 days a week, in fact, I’m wearing it as I write this post!

A lot of the time, Matte lip products can leave your lips really dry, but this doubles up as a cream so leaves your lips feeling moisturised all day long. It comes in 3 shades, this one being my favourite. You can have a look at all 3 here.

Loreal Rose Golden Eye shadow

Nothing says Spring like Rose Gold. Rose Gold is my favourite shimmer colour, and this formulation is beautiful. The colour is the perfect combination of copper and pink, and shimmer itself is highly pigmented and glowy. If you’re looking for a neutral, sparkly colour- this is the one for you.

The only criticism I have with this eyeshadow is the fallout, it can fall onto your cheeks a little. But I have found that if you apply a little setting spray or water to your brush before picking up the shadow, there is nowhere near as much fall out.

Carli Bybel Palette

I have talked about this in more detail on my January Favourites, but as it’s spring I had to add this into the mix. All of Carli’s shimmery colours are perfect for this time of the year, and they are really wearable for everyday use as well as for more dramatic styles.

At the moment I have 2 favourites from this palette, which can both be used as highlight shades.

Firstly is this gorgeous peachy, pink colour. This is the lightest of the highlights in her palette, and if you have pale skin, I would recommend this as the one you use on your face. I personally find that if I try to use any of the others, although the shimmer is great, the actual pigment is darker than my skin. This colour can also be a great transition colour and even a brow bone highlight, however I don’t use this because it’s not quite as pigmented and shiny as the next colour I am about to show you.

This is actually the colour Carli uses as her facial highlight, and if you watch her videos or follow her social media, you’ll know that her highlight is ALWAYS on fleek.

I mean, seriously, look at her! You can see here blog >> here <<

Anyway, I personally use this colour as my inner corner and brow bone highlight. The reason I don’t mind using a darker highlight on my eyes is that you don’t notice the shade difference the same as you would on your nose or cheeks. It’s just not an issue. And plus, this gives me a super dewy look which I am LOVING right now.

Sidenote: I am thinking of doing a Spring Eye Look in the next few weeks, what do you guys think?

No7 Lip Stick- Spring Pink

The name says it all. This lipstick was made for Spring. It’s a gorgeous floral pink colour, with no obvious brown or orange undertones to it. This is just an all-round great pink. If you need a staple pink lip colour in your collection, this is it. The lipstick itself is moisturising and it lasts for a good amount of time too. I really do think this is a must have in your spring collection. You can see it >> here <<

The way you make me Teal- Barry M

I have already talked about this in my Top 5 Nail Polishes post (HERE) , but I am loving this colour at the moment. Teal is one of those colours which works all year round, so if you haven’t got one already, I would definitely recommend buying one!

*BONUS*

Treacle Moon One Ginger Morning

If there ever was a smell that better defines freshness, I would love to know. I fell in love with this shower gel for several reasons:

The Name- One Ginger Morning is possibly the best name I have ever seen on a shower gel.

The Colour- It’s so bright!

The Size- This bottle is huge! I have been using it every day for 3 weeks at least and the bottle is still pretty full

The Smell- The most refreshing mixture of Lime and Ginger, it reminds me of a fruity smoothie. It’s definitely the kind of scent to wake you up in the morning!

I hope you liked this post, and if you have any makeup favourites to share, let me know in the comments!
