The Blog Tag- Date Week

Hello Everyone!

I’m excited about this week’s topic, because I get to talk about my relationship! So… Beginning this week’s theme:

My First Date Experience

…if I can really call it a ‘date’. My first date with my boyfriend is very hard to pinpoint, we were 15 and already best friends, so we hung out all the time at weekends anyway. We use to spend a lot of time walking to the Trafford Centre, grabbing a Starbucks and heading to one of our local parks and chilling out.

I would have to say, i feel like the first proper date night we had was probably going to see James Morrison is concert 2 weeks after we were ‘official’. It was the 29th November, we had officially began dating on the 13th. It was the first concert I had ever been to, so I was incredibly excited. OneRepublic were supporting him that night, and this was the first time I ever heard ‘Good Life’ (my inspirational song). We had an amazing night, and I started to fall in love with Sam right then.

And what’s even better is that last year in November, nearly 6 years exactly after our first date- we went to see James Morrison again. It was like reliving the beginning of our relationship. One of the best nights of my life!

And since we are talking about dating, I just want to share with you my most treasured possession. A week after we started dating, I found a little love note in my school bag at the end of the day. It was a sweet little note, with Sam telling me how much he loved me, but to my surprise, at the bottom of the envelope was a silver necklace. I of course put it around my neck straight away… and I’m still wearing it today. It’s been six and a half years now, and I never take this necklace off (I do wash it don’t worry). Anyway, so if you ever see me in a photo wearing a silver chain as well as gold necklaces etc… that’s why. It is physically part of me, a symbol of our unending love. Take a look…

My Perfect Date Night

I don’t want to risk sounding too cheesy here…but my perfect date night is anything that we do together. Sometimes just spending time with a person is more than enough. Although, having said that- I have always had this dream of getting on of those pickups trucks and laying a big mattress, tons of pillows and snacks in the back… driving into the countryside and just lying together watching the sunset and the stars, talking for hours and just generally enjoying each others company ๐Ÿ™‚

Mine and Sams usual dates include going for a meal at a lovely restaurant local to us, and then getting home and cuddling up on the sofa. As generic as that may sound, I wouldn’t want anything else ๐Ÿ™‚

Question Time

1.Who Was Your High School Crush?

That’s an easy one- my boyfriend, Sam

2. What age did you start Dating?

I personally started dating at 12 i think, me and Sam began dating at 15.

3. When did you have your first kiss?

My first kiss was when I was 9 years old, sitting in a tree!

4. If you could date any celebrity who would it be?

That’s trcky… but I think I have to say Michael Fassbender ๐Ÿ˜‰

5. How many dates do you have to go on before it’s official?

I think that subjective. It depends on the person, and whether you knew them before you started dating or not.

6. Have you ever brought someone home to meet your parents, how was that experience?

I brought my ex back to meet my parents because again we were already friends, they didn’t like him that much really.

I brought Sam home before we started dating, he met my parents after we had been out in the pouring rain and we’d ran back to my house to get dry. They liked him straight away, and he lives with us now while we’re looking for a house!

7. Who pays on a date?

Split 50/50

8. What is the most romantic date you’ve been on?

9.What are your pet peeves when it comes to your partner?

His terrible jokes!… I love them really, I just won’t admit it!

10.Have you had any embarrassing moments on a date?

Probably, but I don’t remember to be honest!

11. Who do you go to for dating advice?

My mum I think ๐Ÿ™‚

12. What is the most romantic thing you’ve done for someone?

For Sam’s 21st Brithday, I bought him a mini break in the lake district and two animal experiences with his favourite animals: wolves and birds of prey. We were able to take the wolves for a walk in the hills and watch them play in the water, and the next day we were up a mountain flying birds of prey! If you’re wondering what the place is called, it’s Predator Experience. If your other half loves animals, I really recommend this place!

13. Tell us about your worst date

I don’t think I had ever been on a date before Sam, and we’ve never had a bad date… or at least none that I can think of!

14. How often do you do date night?

We try to do something once a month at least, but sometimes we do group dates with our friends too ๐Ÿ™‚

15. What’s your favourite restaurant for a night out with your partner?

It’s a place in Urmston, Manchester called ‘The Grill At 27’. It’s such a sweet little place, it’s super romantic and the staff are lovely.

16. Your favourite date night outfit?

I like to wear dresses usually. I tend to go for something which is a little bit loose on the tummy if we will be eating. My favourite dress at the moment is a gorgeous little purple dress which is in a sort of stretchy, soft material. It does figure-hug but it isn’t tight and it even looks good with a food baby, so it’s definitely my go-to dress!

I also really love wearing plunge necks and skirts, and I wore a really cute combo of a long sleeved black body suit and a red velvet skirt for valentines day. Here it is:
