If you have never eaten Barbecue Sauce and Houmous together- you are missing out. The combination of nutty houmous and tangy BBQ just goes perfectly together- and when you add crispy chicken and fresh salad into the mix… well, it’s pretty awesome.
Southern Fried BBQ Chicken Wraps
Serves 2 Prep Time: 30 minutes
Ingredients:
- 8 Southern Fried/ Spicy Chicken Tenders (whichever are your favourite, although i recommend Iceland)
- French Fries
- 4 Tortilla Wraps
- Romaine Lettuce
- Cucumber
- Cherry or Plum Tomatoes
- Cheese Slices OR Cheddar Cheese (or a mix of both)
- BBQ Sauce
- Houmous
- French Fries
1.Place your Chicken onto a baking tray and put into the oven at 190C. After 10 minutes, add the french fries into the bottom and turn up the temperature to 220. Cook for a further 15-18 minutes.
2. Meanwhile, we can assemble our wraps. Lay out your wraps onto a clean surface or a tray. Spread Houmous generously over the whole surface. Cut up some salad (not too much as you won’t be able to close your wrap) and add it onto the wrap.
3. Squirt some Barbecue sauce over your wraps and add cheese, whichever you prefer. I personally only eat slices, whereas Sam has a mix of that and cheddar.
4. Once your chicken is ready, pop these onto the top of your wrap (2 per wrap) and fold your wraps up by folding in the top and bottom, then rolling from left to right. Cut in half and Enjoy with fries!
