Good Morning Everyone!
I’ve got some very exciting news to share today… I’ve won a Leibster Award!
After only blogging for a year and a half, winning an award like this is just incredible. I want to first of all pay special thanks to Enlightened Survivor for nominating me! Enlightened Survivor is a blog written by the lovely Jade King. Her blog s all about the hardships she has faced in her personal life and how she’s come back and now focuses on teaching us how to live a healthier lifestyle, she’s a true inspiration.
The Leibster award is given to bloggers by bloggers. It recognises inspirational and creative bloggers with smaller audiences. It helps to recognise newer bloggers and their impact on the blogging community, and brings bloggers from all over the world together!
As part of receiving this award, I have been asked to answer a few questions about myself and my blog. This is what Enlightened Survivor asked me:
1.Why did you start a blog? Is it everything you dreamed of so far?
After failing my final exams for my Chemistry Degree, I decided I needed a huge overhaul in lifestyle. I’ve always loved to write, so starting a blog was just a great platform upon which to focus my thoughts and energy. It has helped my confidence and anxiety greatly, and I cannot wait to continue on this journey and take it to far off places in the future.
2. What have you learned from your blog?
I’ve learned that you don’t need to be an expert in what you write about. Blogging is about being yourself, so if you don’t know every single detail- just admit it. I think it humanises us and helps the reader identify with us better too.
3. What is something people would be surprised to know about you?
I actually went to University in 2012 to study a Bachelor’s Degree in Chemistry. In the process I ended up modelling for the 2015 Manchester Metropolitan University Prospectus. And if you don’t believe me… take a look
4. What is your greatest joy in life?
Spending time with my family, my friends, and my better half 😉
5. What’s number 1 on your bucket list?
Right now? Buying my first house with my boyfriend, Sam.
