Summer to Autumn Transition Outfits

Hi Guys!

So as you will all know, summer is reaching its bitter end and making way for autumn. I’m personally very excited about this because Autumn is my FAVOURITE season… Did I mention I love Autumn?

I know that every year around the start of September we all seem to go through that awkward stage of not knowing which season to dress for. It’s too hot for big jumpers and skinny jeans, but it’s not quite warm enough for strappy tops and dresses… So what are we supposed to wear?

Well, if you’re struggling for outfit inspiration for these next few weeks, I have put together a few ideas for you. I have 4 different outfit choices, all really simple and things I already had lurking in my wardrobe from last year. It’s like summer and autumn fused together… sutumn.

Ok, that doesn’t have much of a ring to it, but anyway I hope you enjoy my outfit ideas!

SHIRTS AND SHORTS

Simple, effective and really damn comfy. I love the idea of pairing a signature autumn print with summer shorts, it’s casual and keeps me nice and toasty around the neck, but lets the air out through my legs.

Sidenote: can you believe how PALE my legs are?! You’d never know it’s been summer for me #gingerproblems

T-SHIRTS AND SKIRTS

This one can be as dressy or as casual as you like. As you can see here I’m wearing a plain black Bardot with a camel skirt, but you could just as easily wear a graphic tee or a long sleeve v neck. Your style, your choice.

T-SHIRT AND JOGGERS

This might just be my favourite option out of the lot. I have always been a bit of a tomboy growing up, and although I love girly clothes, makeup and jewellery- I also think this kind of style suits me.

These joggers are from New Look and I bought them this time last year, and they are the comfiest joggers I’ve ever owned. What I also love is that they still shape to my legs and hips so look more feminine than just a regular pair of joggers.

BARDOT AND SHORTS

This style is also one I really love. It’s cute, girly, practical and pretty. Ticks all the boxes right? All you need is a cute pair of suede shorts (which everywhere will be selling soon) and your favourite top. I chose this Bardot because it exposes my shoulders a little while still keeping my torso nice and warm.

That’s it for my Summer-Autumn transition outfits. I really hope you enjoyed this post and the ideas I came up with, and please let me know in the comments if you have any other outfits that you swear by at this time of year.
