October Favourites

Ahh, it’s that time of the month again… wait, I don’t mean that time *gulp*

It’s time for me to talk about my favourite products!

I feel like I need to apologise for the photography in this month’s list; we move into our first house last week and everything is still very messy. I wanted to place these on a pretty scarf, but I don’t know where they are!

Anyway, let’s not dwell on shitty photography…let’s get into it!

MY HOUSE

For anyone who didn’t already know, last Wednesday my boyfriend and I moved into our first home! Now, I won’t be sharing pictures quite yet because everything is still all over the place at the moment, but I will share a post soon. It is my favourite thing of not only this month, or this year, but the past 8 years. Sam and I have been dreaming of our house since we were 15 years old, so this is just the best thing that could have happened this year!

Ashleigh and Burwood Fragrance Lamp

If you’ve never seen one of these before- you should totally go out and get one this winter. I have had this lamp for 3 years- but I absolutely love it for the evenings at home. You fill it with fragrance oil, light the wick and let it flame for 2-3 minutes, then blow it out and let the fragrance sort of smoke through your room. It’s amazing and I just think they look beautiful on the mantlepiece.

Scentsational Creme Brulee Candle

I’ve got to admit, I’ve never eaten a creme brulee, but if it tastes like this candle smells… I’ll be in love. It’s sweet, decadent and makes me really hungry!

Tresemme Keratin Smooth Shampoo

Tresemme bottle sizes are the one. I love not having to change my shampoo every few weeks. This shampoo in particular has become a favourite of mine because it leaves my hair feeling so soft and shiny. I have very dry hair naturally so it’s easy for it to tangle and knot, but this shampoo has honestly saved my hair.

Carte D’or Ice Cream – Salted Caramel

BEST ICE CREAM EVER.

Freedom Makeup Lipstick – Vamp Noir

img_9527.jpg

I have to admit, I have always been scared to wear berry coloured lipstick because I always felt it made my lips look really small. But I tried this for my Copper Smokey Eye look for #blogtober day 5, and I am OBSESSED. I think it suits me, what do you guys think?

Loreal True Match Foundation – 1C/ 1R/ Rose Ivory

img_9542

As I’ve been editing this post, I realised how terrible the flat lay image of this was, so I’ve just run upstairs to take a snap of this in the garden instead for you. As far as I’m aware, this is the lightest shade in this foundation (as always) and I was scared to try it. Many of you will know that my go-to foundation is No7 Beautifully Matte, but they’ve raised the price recently so I wanted to try something new. I’ve seen the adverts for this, and the shade seemed cool enough for my skin, so I bought it. In most foundations, even the lightest shade makes me look a bit orange so I was thrilled to find that this didn’t do that. Honestly, I think this may be my new favourite foundation.

Oh, and if you want to know what nail varnish I’m wearing- it’s Barry M- The Way You Make Me Teal. IMG_1337

  1. I used to use a No 7 foundation too! Recently switched to the L’oreal ture match and am loving it! Congratulations on your new homeowner status! Have been loving all your blogtober posts <3
