Why I’m Not Setting Resolutions This Year

Hello everyone!

First of all I want to say a huge happy new year to all of you and I hope you had an amazing Christmas! Now that it’s the new year it seems like everyone is once again setting themselves aims and goals for the year, and usually I’d be doing the exact same thing, only this year I’m not…

I have been contemplating for a couple of months whether or not I would be setting my normal resolutions this year. Would I be trying to lose weight for the 7th year in a row… of maybe I would look at finally finishing the book I’ve been writing for 2 years. To be honest, looking at the goals I have tried and failed to keep up with in the last few years, I decided to take a slightly different approach this year.

Last year I set myself the biggest goal in my entire life, but it wasn’t a resolution, it was a goal. That goal I set was to buy a house and spend Christmas in my own home by the end of the year, and I achieved it. But I realised that the only reason I achieved this goal was because I wanted it more than anything, and it wasn’t something I was forcing myself to do ‘just because’

Which is why this year I’m not setting resolutions or goals or anything else… I am living my life for what I want more than anything, and I will be happy to do so. I want to be happy, financially secure, and finally satisfied with my body.

This year I’m going to be working on a few different projects which will hopefully be seen by the end of the year to do with my blog and business, but I will also be working on my body strength and mental health because I WANT to.

My point is, don’t set goals you don’t want to achieve. Find those things which make you happy and which you know you want more than anything, and chase them.

2018 for me is the year to chase my dreams and enjoy my life, and I hope you’ll all join me!
