Hello everyone!
If you are living in the UK, you’ll know that summer finally reared it’s lovely head this weekend! Families around the country raced to get the BBQ out, because that’s what us Brits do. We see sun, we cook food!
Simple is sometimes the best with a BBQ. And double cheeseburgers followed by marinated chicken is just the perfect treat. If you’d like to know what I used for the chicken marinade, here you go:
- Green Pesto
- Blackened Cajun Seasoning
- Barbecue Sauce
- Lemon Juice
Easy Peasy!
Anyway, that’s enough with the food… now I’d like to introduce you to my other little rascals: June and Pancake (I will explain the names)
Dinosaur meets dragon… that’d be an interesting concept!
Firstly, this is Pancake. She’s not much of a runner, she’s more of a sit-in-a-flowerbed kinda girl. She’s called Pancake because when we rescued her, she was in a bad way. Her previous owner hadn’t looked after her properly- so her shell was completely flat. Hence Pancake. Anyway, I think she suits sitting amongst the flowers, don’t you?
This adventurer is June. I’m not totally sure why we called her June to be honest, but nevermind that…
I’m not exaggerating when I say she is larger than both of my hands put together. She’s a BIG girl. And she’s definitely the Indiana Jones out of the 2. As soon as we let her out in the garden, she’s like a whippet. If you don’t think turtles are fast, you are sorely mistaken- this girl can run!
I hope you guys enjoyed a little peak into my Sunday afternoon. Let me know in the comments 🙂
Looks like you had a really lovely Sunday afternoon, and it looks like you got some beautiful weather as well! I love a good bbq, sadly we’re completely running out of great bbq weather in Australia now.
