Chester Cathedral Falconry: Hidden Gem

I haven’t been to Chester since I was about 5, so I don’t remember what it was even like back then. However, me and my mum needed a bit of retail therapy and a day out together, so we thought we would explore the city and make a day of it. Walking through the town centre is almost like stepping back in time, with the clock on the bridge and cute cobbled streets, it’s a really lovely place to come shopping.

About halfway through the day we decided to have a walk on the wall around the cathedral, and were intrigued when we came across the sign for a falconry centre. We walked down and found out that a ticket for the whole day is only £3! Of course we went right on in!

The people in here are so friendly and helpful, and we got the chance to hold most of the birds while ne of the trainers talked to us about each one, at no point did we feel rushed and it was really great to see these birds up close and personal. Below I wanted to share some photos from my day, and if you are ever in Chester- don’t hesitate to visit this little gem!
